How to join Indian Air Force as a Pilot From Airman or any other soldier Rank?
Ways To Join Indian Air force As a Pilot..
As Many of you I have the same doubt that what are the exact ways to become an officer specially a Pilot from a soldier rank. Sorry to say that, there is no special entry for an airman or a soldier to become a pilot. You will treat as a fresher.
So here is my research and result.
Exams or Entries:
1. NDA {10+2 scream}
2. CDS {Graduation}
3. AFCAT {Graduation}
4. NCC special entry {Graduation}
NDA in Details:
If you did your 10+2 from science background and have Mathematics and Physics without any backlog, you can fill up NDA form to fulfill your dreams.
If you are selected as an airman or seaman or army man though you can fill it up. But remember your age must be in 18.5 when you are filling the form.
*** Only Male
** Permanent commission
CDS in Details:
If you did your graduation from 10+2 math, physics background or did your BE, B.Tech so you can apply CDS and put IAF in 1st preference.
If you are selected as an soldier though you can apply for it .But when you are filling it up , you must be with in 23 years .
* For commercial Pilot Licence holder it can be extend hoto 25 years.
*** Only male

AFCAT in details:
If you did your graduation with 60%+ marks (from 10+2 math,physics background with 50%+) or Did BE ,B.Tech with minimum 60%+ marks can apply flying Branch.
If you are selected as a soldier though you can apply for it. But age not more than 23 years.
* For Comercial pilot license holder it can be go upto 25.
*** Both male and female can apply.
** Short service commission
NCC Special Entry;
If you did your graduation from 10+2 with physics and math or did BE, B Tech can apply for this entry..
Iff you complete your NCC Senior division 3 year training and got NCC C cirtificate with A or B grade. With minimum 2 year of training..

*** 10% seat reservation on CDS and AFCAT
